With the usual comfort, but in a new look, the eTrekking 7.8 can be used for extensive tours on weekends as well as for errands in the city. The fresh two-tone design with reduced brand lettering makes the e-bike look stylish and clean. The battery? The VICTORIA designers have partially integrated it into the frame and covered it with a plastic cover. This gives the pedelec, which is also manufactured in large sizes, a much slimmer and sportier look.
The eTrekking 7.8 is powered by the powerful BOSCH “Performance” motor, which supports even more torque than the versions used below. The sporty drive unit always provides the right support – even in the mountains. The minimal pedaling resistance gives a natural riding feel. With its 500-Wh output, the battery has a large capacity and is thus predestined for extensive day trips over land.
The forces are transmitted by a belt drive from GATES to the 5-speed “Nexus” internal gear hub, which is specially designed for use on e-bikes (optionally with freewheel and coaster). The carbon fiber-reinforced belt is quiet in operation, virtually durable and works on top of it lubrication-free. With a support of up to 25 km/h and fast downhill rides, a pedelec needs reliable brakes – and anyway: The hydraulic disc brakes from TEKTRO have relatively large discs (180/160 mm) for this, which brake safely.
For the usual high VICTORIA comfort standard are the suspended fork and seatpost there and the ERGOTEC “Riser Bar” handlebars, which provides a more upright seating position. The wide SCHWALBE “Marathon” tires cushion when riding over cobblestones or paved forest trails.
If it’s later in the evening, the CONTEC front light with a full 80 lux brightly illuminates the way home. The rear light has a stoplight function, which allows following cyclists to react better. So that you do not have to drag a backpack on the back, all bags and baskets can be quickly and easily attached to the MIK system carrier with appropriate click mechanism.
