The VICTORIA UTILYON 3 wave is built for the unique pace of life in the Algarve, whether you are navigating the steep, sun-drenched hills of the Barrocal or the uneven calçada streets of an old town centre. With a massive 180 kg total weight capacity, this e-bike is a legitimate alternative to a car for your daily runs, allowing you to easily carry a full load of produce from the Loulé market or all your gear for a day at the beach. The design includes a sturdy rear carrier, and you can even add an optional front carrier to keep smaller bags right under the handlebars where you can see them.
To handle the region’s coastal inclines, the bike relies on the high-torque Bosch Performance CX motor and a long-range 750 Wh PowerTube battery. This battery is tucked neatly into the frame and can be popped out from the top, which is far more convenient for charging than traditional bottom-removal designs. The ride stays smooth even on bumpy backroads thanks to the large 29-inch wheels and wide Continental tyres, which are designed to roll over potholes and kerbs with much less bounce than smaller wheels.
One of the best features for our coastal climate is the combination of the Enviolo Heavy Duty hub and the Gates CDX belt drive. Because the belt is virtually maintenance-free and doesn’t require oil, it stands up much better to the salty sea air and sand than a traditional metal chain. Safety is also a priority for those riding home after a seaside dinner; the bike is equipped with powerful Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with extra-thick rotors for stable stopping, and a smart lighting system. The rear light even features a motion sensor that acts as a brake light, alerting drivers behind you the moment you slow down.
